Wine 1.5 won't save my settings

when i change my settings on winetricks. it won't remember it. i'm trying to make sound=alsa because if i don't rosetta stone won't work. is there another way to do it say through a terminal. if installed wine a couple of times and even reinstalled my os. i'm using ubuntu 12.04. still nothing. thanks for the help.

Are you using the Ubuntu wine1.5 packages? If so, ask for help with any sound problems on the Ubuntu forum. Ubuntu has made modifications to Wine's sound system that are not supported here.
