problem installation wine 1.4 on ubuntu 11.10

Hi, I'm new in the forum and a unexperienced user of ubuntu sistem and wine.
I tried to install wine on my ubuntu following the instruction on the download page of wine, but finally I get problem:
it says that Package dependencies can not be resolved.
This problem may be caused by lack of or can not install additional software packages. It may also be a conflict between software packages which can not be installed at the same time.

why dont 'you use the wine version from the Ubuntu sources ??
is easy to use and all dependencies will be loaded too.
open a shell : " sudo apt-get install wine "
enter your password and .. viola..
if you want to use different Versions of wine try "playonlinux" here you can choise the wine version of your flavor.

I didn't use the official repository because the only wine available I've found is the 1.3 version! I'd like to install the 1.4 version, but cause it seems to hard I think I'll choose the easiest way of the Software Center.
