Hi !
The new Adobe Digital Editions is out.
It is a .NET program, and not a Flash program anymore.
I can install it on my ArchLinux 64-bit and wine 64-bit, and at first launch, Wine installs Mono, but after that, ADE 2 doesn’t start.
When I start it with the command line, it says "The entry point method could not be loaded".
Has someone managed to run it ? Do I need a wine 32-bit version ?
Thank you for the help.

I'm afraid it uses WPF, and won't run on Wine any time soon, no matter what you do.

I faced a very similar problem. As a workaround, an older version (1.7.2.1131, to be precise) can be downloaded from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403051/a ... /setup.exe
This can be installed under Wine, and appears to be working well on my Linux Mint 13 64-bit system.

Ho, that’s very sad for this WPF thing… No chance it will one day run with Wine, then ?
And you’re right, prosto_IA : I had to switch back to 1.7.2 version. It works pretty well, even on 64-bit system.
