Hi,
Is there a way of getting .deb files of wine 1.5.5+?
I did download them from here: http://dev.carbon-project.org/debian/wine-unstable/
However, that hasn't been updated in months, and I'd really rather like a newer version...
I also sent the maintainer of that page an email, but he hasn't answered, so i'm asking here
Any ideas?
Wine v1.5.5+ on LMDE?
Re: Wine v1.5.5+ on LMDE?
Packages are built by the distros, and it's entirely up to the maintainer what to build.
You could just build Wine yourself.

theoretically, yes, i could build it myself, but i found the wiki...confusing
i'm on mint debian 64bit, and i just want 'normal' (tm) wine, which page do i look at?

http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-wine/pp ... w/wine1.5/ probably works fine for what you want to do.

Thanks for the link, however i have been led to believe that ubuntu .deb will probably not work on a debian system...
can someone confirm?
