Wineserver won't execute wine-1.4.1

I just installed wine-1.4.1 under Slackware 13.37 kernel 2.6.38.3. Wineserver won't execute for some reason. The permissions are fine and I even tried wineserver -h under root as a diagnostic without success. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I found the problem. I had installed the 64 bit version instead of the 32bit version. I reinstalled with the 32 bit version and everything is fine now.
