X3 reunion. missing sound/video/trade question/update?

Has anyone gotten any farther with x3 reunions issues with the above issues. I've been trying to find anything to get it playable but I'm not having a good time doing it. Any progress?

Hi,

did you try latest wine release (1.5.9)? Did you look at http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=12888? It's about a really old wine version, but with some (a lot of) tweaking the game seemed to work. Most of the tweaking seemed to be necessary due to Ubuntu x64 being quite broken (regarding wine).

Yea I couldn't figure out how to dl either. I had a problem trying to get 1.5 beta to install and I couldn't find 1.3.29 or whatever it was.

I'm not using Ubuntu, but it shouldn't be too hard to get current wine installed, see e.g. http://www.noobslab.com/2012/07/install ... buntu.html

Yea I got it finally. I found a different link on the main page. The other one wasn't connecting to the ubuntu software thing properly.

Yea now It always locks up on the starting area. I'll have to try the 1.3.29 that was working.

What do you mean by starting area? There's a known bug about not reaching the menu.
