I want to use the latest development version of Wine (1.5.6) on Ubuntu 10.04 but it needs alsa 1.0.24 or later.
I could compile and install the latest alsa stuff in order to get it working but it'd cause problems for other programs (like e.g. VLC).
How can I get Wine working properly with the alsa that comes with Lucid Lynx?
Or what do I have to do in order to use the latest alsa for Wine only, so the new alsa won't interfere with the other programs?
Thanks in advance
