Office 2007 Stop Working

All,
I have "wine-1.4" loaded and I can no longer run MS Office 2007. It initially ran for several months, but now when I open any application such as Word or Excel after a few moments the application will crash with a pop-up window and display the following message: Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What distro? If it's Ubuntu 12.04, please read the sticky at the top of the forum.

Try reinstalling to a clean wineprefix--no native dlls, no other changes to winecfg.

Before I re-install Office 2007 with new wineprefix. Should un-install the existing 2007 Office first? If so, how do I uninstall it?

If you have nothing else in that wineprefix that you want to keep, just delete it and start over. A new one will automatically be created when you run the installer.

If you do have other apps in that wineprefix you want to keep, create a separate wineprefix for Office following these instructions: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-faf9617 ... 522d490faf
