LM12 No graphic in "playfield"

Hello!

My Problem is kind of vague. I already posted this in the Linux Mint Forum and got redirected here.

Ok, here's there problem:

I tried to install Titan Quest via wine (in own prefix and everything). I tweaked and edited....and voilá everything went absolutely smoothly. I didn't have any of the documented problems (from appdb.winehq). Text and sound were ok.
But: I don't see anything. Like: No background, no character. My character-screen is all white, my play field shrouded in black.

Hm.
Okay, I really badly wanted to play anything so I went and installed Vampire Bloodlines. Got some other issues there, but ultimately the same problem:
No play screen. Everything black. (Even though I was able to see and create a character).

In both games the sound works, the texts work, I can click everything - but see nothing.

Exactly what did you tweak and edit?
Wine Version: 1.3.28
Your Wine version is old; start by upgrading to the latest development release. If the games don't work in the latest development release, pick one and post console output from running it.

I'll first upgrade and then reinstall, while documenting everything (honestly, there have been so many registry edits to tweak that this is probably the only way to bring them back to mind).
Then I'll come forward with the results.

I completely removed my winetricks, playonlinux and old wine version.
Installed New Wine (1.5.4)
Installed Vampire Bloodlines in new prefix. No Patches or anything on top.
Added the suggested command lines (as in
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... ingId=5615 ):

HKCU/Software/Wine/Direct3D: OffscreenRenderingMode = "fbo"
HKCU/Software/Wine/Direct3D: UseGLSL = "disabled"

Ran game,
And someone painted it black again.

I'm lost.
I tried to google the errors in the log, but I simply do not understand what it means. So finding a corresponding error on the web, does not tell me whether the suggested solutions are in for me (other people have other graphic cards for example)...

I set a new RegKey (videomemorysize), but that didn't help either :(
