Post by JRadford1967 »

We need help to get Micro Planner X-Pert 3.5.1 running on Wine on Ubuntu and are willing to pay for this help. If you can help there is a free trial download of Micro Planner X-Pert available for download from www.microplanning.com

We are running Ubuntu 11.04 if we can get this sorted we will be able to kiss windows good bye

Hope someone can help.

Hi Jim,

nobody answered your message, so I'm trying to help out here. If you really want commercial support, you could hire Codeweavers, see http://www.codeweavers.com/services/ , though that probably wouldn't be cheap, depending on the expenditure needed. You can ask Codeweavers, they will tell you how many developers and hours will be needed and how much they will charge.

What is preventing your application from running under wine? For instance .NET 4.x might pose a real problem at the moment and nearby future, if you've got access to the source code, you could reduce such dependencies.

Did you already file bug reports in the wine bugtracker?

kind regards,

If the "Lite" version available from the download link is any indication, the problem is in the opposite direction: this is a very old app that crashes winevdm.exe.
