Wine without X11 (KMS/DRM/GBM)

Post by salvaliebana »

Hi, I wonder is there is any chance on wich we can get wine running on GBM, so, whithout X11.
I would be nice, mostly for rpi4 o any arm linux board.
We use box86 to run wine x86 to run windows apps, and bc the linux apps work perfectly fine without X I wonder if the same could be done with wine.
that way we dont have to create an X session for the apps... then we can port them to retropie and they would work just fin with a very simple scrip that just execute them (like we
can with the linux x86 ones that sun just fine without X server running)

I know it's a new feaure of sdl2 and it may not be implemented already on wine. Just introducing the idea. It would be helpful for both x86_64 systems and ARM linux systems
