just a wine newbee

Post by olivarra1 »

I come from Autoit because it doesn't support Linux OS.

I've some questions:
1- can I make Linux programs with a computer that only has Windows?
2- I see the downloads page of windows, but there is not any compiler or something like that. where is it?
3- Can I use sciTE for program in wine?
4- is there a help file or some tutorials?

thanks,
olivarra1

PD: I'm sorry because my english is so baaad :(

Are you trying to run autoit on Linux with wine, or compile a winelib linux executable from windows source code on a windows platform?

There are native Linux replacements for autoit. Use them instead. Even if autoit will work on Wine it will work within Wine only - won't affect native Linux programs.

1. Wine runs windows programs on Linux not other way around.
2. That downloads is for developer's testing only. It is intended to replace parts of windows with parts of Wine. Again not what you want.
3. It's a text editor - available as native windows and Linux application. Use Linux version on Linux and windows version on windows.
4. Documentation
