Ok, I know Crysis will run under Linux with wine but a while ago I tried to run it under OS X using wine and all I got was a white screen when I tried to launch it, why is this?
I'm thinking of making the jump to FreeBSD and since OS X and FreeBSD are similar, would I get this same problem?
Crysis on FreeBSD
Re: Crysis on FreeBSD
It doesn't run here with wine >= 1.1.22 (see http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18799 ). I'm not sure if that is the same bug you got on OS X.Probably you want to try an earlier wine version. Which one did you try?Wormboy wrote:Ok, I know Crysis will run under Linux with wine ...
Using this patch will get it to run with linux: http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=22906
However, the game is really too slow, and glitchy to be considered playable (depending on your definition of playable). If you just want to muck around with it, though, then go ahead It's pretty amazing that the game runs at all on linux.
