adwords on eee-pc

Post by johnboyseo » Sun Feb 24, 2008 5:57 am

Hi,

I am a total wine noob - trying to get adwords editor running under wine (version .9.55) ll seems to be finie, installed the adwords .msi under the msi installer, added a couple of missing DLLs (mscvr71 & mscvp71) but now adwords edit I get the following errors:

ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory
fixme:system:SetProcessDPIAware stub!
fixme:iphlpapi:NotifyAddrChange (Handle 0x7d1caa14, overlapped 0x7d1ca9f8): stub
fixme:msimtf:CActiveIMM_Create ((nil) {08c0e040-62d1-11d1-9326-0060b067b86e} 0x1067468c)
fixme:ole:CoCreateInstance no instance created for interface {08c0e040-62d1-11d1-9326-0060b067b86e} of class {4955dd33-b159-11d0-8fcf-00aa006bcc59}, hres is 0x80004002
fixme:shell:DllCanUnloadNow stub
fixme:msimtf:DllCanUnloadNow ()

the DB seems to think it *should* run pretty cleanly - can anyone point me in the right direction?

I didn't see any errors there, just a noisy log file. Did the app misbehave?
fixme's aren't errors.

This app works without any problems for me. Could you try to describe a bit more what you are trying to to?

Just tied with crossover with the same result.

installed wine, tested notepad etc - works fine.

Run msiexec to install adwords .msi

Run adwords editor, no errors but application never starts. Its a puzzle.
Same result when using crossover.

Could you delete your wine directory (~/.wine), reinstall the app and copy the missing dlls to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32. After that try to run the app again. Could you post your commands which you have entered?
