How to compile Wine with built-in codecs support?

Post by marcosfs93 »

I'll like to add a inside support of media codecs in Wine source and compile it.

In Steam Proton (that is based in Wine) is able to run apps with mp4 media format, but the "pure" Wine can't do it.

Seems the Wine will be able to run media files if have any additional settings before compile, so what to do?

Is necessary to me because wine.git are receiving some interesting fixes and i'll like to test these fix without wait a official release of Wine and later a new release of Proton with the fix.

I could install a codec package of my distribution but it self isn't sufficient, or is? I have installed a package 'ubuntu-restricted-extras' and i not got success running the app in Wine.
