How to fix wmvcore:WMSyncReader Error

I've been playing some Japanese visual novels with wine. Everything works perfectly expect the animated scenes. When a animated scene plays I get a black screen with the text, menu, and buttons still working perfectly. This is the error I get in the terminal when it happens. I tried to find a way to fix this, but nothing seems to work, or even effect it.
