A windows game with two DVDs

Post by steveis2 »

Hi,
I have sub command, an old windows game. It comes with two DVDs. Everything is installing fine until I need to remove the 1st DVD and insert the 2nd DVD. The second DVD does not seem to mount or be recognised. So far I have right clicked on the 1st DVD icon and ejected it. Once I do that though the 2nd one won't show up. How can I use both disks successfully? Should I eject the 1st dvd with wine eject d:

It may be something simple but at the moment it seems to be beyond me. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Regards Steve

Small tip: Most games don't check during install if a CD/DVD is inserted. So you can usually just copy all files from all CDs in the same directory and run the installer from there. Usually you need to insert the CD during start of the game for copy protect reasons though.
