Black screen and crash when launching World of Warcraft

Post by ECecillo »

I tried to install and play on Ubuntu, I actually follow this tutorial ( down bellow ), but when I launch the game from the launcher or with the Wow.exe it doesn't work. Can anyone help me with that ?

http://us.forum.firestorm-servers.com/i ... nux-guide/

I also follow the official Wine guide, and I tried to install all the dependencies. I'm actually running my virtual machine on wine 3.20 and 3.10 staging.

I'll make the log file of the WoW.exe file and the Laucher.exe log.

I hope someone will help me ^^ ( Sorry if these sentences doesn't make any sense English is not my main language ): ).

Log file of the Laucher :

A few things I noticed:
- PlayOnLinux isn't supported here. Please retry with plain Wine (Or take a look at Lutris)
- Update your Wine version to the latest version
- As mentioned in the log file. Install the "winbind" package
- You need dxvk to run World of Warcraft

Hi,
So after some deep thought I tried to install and play on the Battlenet launcher. The game start and work just fine so, I don't understand why it's not working on the another launcher. Maybe if I configure the launcher via Lutris it would work but I have no idea of how to do it. If someone could help me with this one I could potentially play on the unofficial game.
