Running Asseto Corsa Dedicated Server

Post by dbach »

I'm running Assetto Corsa Dedicated Server on a Linux box.
It works so far quite well.
Till about 10 users connected to the server the ping rates are good - far below 100.
With any user more connected the ping goes up to 250 (24 users)

Short characteristics of the dedicated server:
Atom c2570 8 core , 8GB RAM, 250GBSSD, Ubuntu 18.04.
No xserver installed, server is completely ssl shell managed
Wine Version 4.0-rc7

I execute acServer.exe with /nogui parameter.
The bottle neck is wine, because the linux version of acServer runs with ping rates around 30

Need help how I can increase the performance of the process.
Nice levels are decreased to -10 for acServer.exe as well for wineserver.
Thanks a lot in advance

Is the wineserver process saturating a single core, at (or near to) 100%, around when you see the drop off / latency increase?
