Right now Winamp is in the process of forking.
There is Winamp 5.8, recently released.
There is also Winamp Community Update [WACUP], https://getwacup.com/ this is based off the open source parts. along with replacements for many of the plugins.
While WACUP is in beta, you can obtain it by joining the beta program at the site.
So, I'd like to add WACUP as a separate app, as it's in effect a fork.
How does Wine normally handle apps that fork, I'd like to check verify if the Winamp bugs still apply, though I'm not sure what happens as they are against Winamp, and this is (sort of?) the same app.
Winamp Community Edition - WACUP, where to put it in AppDB ?
Re: Winamp Community Edition - WACUP, where to put it in App
Submit WACUP as a new application, along with a test report. If any existing bugs apply to the forked version, add links to them from the version page after it is accepted.
