Installing Sophos Home Antivirus
I want to install Sophos Home antivirus on my system with WINE but it keeps failing saying it needs internet to install and I have done everything from changing hosts and hostnames to reinstalling libnss-mdns:i386 and installing avahi-autoipd

You'd probably be better off using the native Linux AV Scanner, that Sophos develop: Sophos Antivirus for Linux.
The Sophos Windows Antivirus installer complains, on my system, that it's being installed on an "unsupported platform", after:
with Wine 3.13 / Wine Staging 3.13.1 and 32-bit WINEPREFIX, set to Windows 7 compatibility.
Feel free to open a (WineHQ Bugzilla) bug about this...
