Hello. I can not play warcraft 3 on w3arena

Post by IvipIZerg »

Hello everyone, the game is starting well. w3arena the client runs without problems. You connect to the server, but if you enter the login password, the game freezes. Nothing happens. But at the same time the game did not hang. You can press esc and go to the game menu. Sorry for my bad English. I write through Google interpreter. I watched about 10 versions of wine. Everywhere the same thing. Standard log empty

Kubuntu 16.10, wine-2.18 (Staging)

@IvipIZerg

Really??!! :shock:
Because your OS is EOL - which doesn't inspire confidence in your setup!
See: Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) End of Life reached on July 20 2017 ...
Time to update to 17.10! 8)

What "standard log" is empty?
What do mean by that?

We'd need some terminal output, from Wine, to diagnose any issues...
See WineHQ FAQ: WineHQ FAQ: 10.1.1 How can I get a debugging log (a.k.a. terminal output)?

What's the output from:

Code: Select all

glxinfo | egrep '^[[:alpha:]]'
It's most likely graphics card / driver issues on your end... Intel IGP? :wink:
