Wine RAW printing

Post by h3x4d3c1m4l »

I would like to print RAW data from Wine to CUPS to my output device (which in turn is a simple socket).
This data is in ESC/POS binary format and should be unaltered when transfered to CUPS.

But I can't get Wine to not convert the data to Postscript.
Is there any way to disable the Postscript conversion?

Thank you dimesio, I added a comment.

In the mean time I am looking for a workaround. The software can only print to a printer, it can't save the data to a file.
Maybe a workaround could be to use LPD/LPR instead of CUPS? But if I kill cupsd, Wine doesn't see the CUPS printers anymore but it also doesn't see the printers I added to /etc/printcap on my Ubuntu 16.04 VM.
No error on stderr either. How can I find debug this issue that Wine does not see the printers from /etc/printcap?
