Running CS:GO on Steam with WINE - Need run as ADMIN

Post by mexicantroll »

I am running windows STEAM with wine staging and I downloaded the game csgo. The problem is that when I try to join servers I get the error messages "Your connection to matchmaking servers is not reliable".

This problem is usually caused because steam is not ran as admin and that csgo doesn't have access to all the files.

How can I run steam in WINE with administrator privliages, like on windows "Run as Administrator".?

Thanks!

Wine runs with Windows admin privileges, so that's not the cause of your problem.

Well then it has something to do with not having full access to all the files on the computer I thinik. How could I do that?

It could be a problem with ICMP calling from ping. Usually Wine work arround, but in some case... not.

The other solution is to install CSGO on Steam Linux, CSGO work on linux natively.

Could you post the console ouput? It might contain a hint as to what goes wrong
