Hello All!
I have a friend who developed a Windows game,
He has no clue about Linux, but his game runs good in Wine.
I suggested him to create a Wine port of his game that he could publish to Steam.
The question is, how it can be done?
How to package it for Linux in Steam?
How to include Wine in the game?
Is there a step-by-step guide or something?
Thank You,
Maxim.
How to make a Wine port?
Re: How to make a Wine port?
If his game already runs well in Wine, there's really no reason for him to do anything. Porting with Wine is possible, but IMO, not worth the trouble of having to maintain the port himself, especially if he knows nothing about Linux. But if he really wants to port it with Wine, the people to ask are Codeweavers. https://www.codeweavers.com/porting
As for how to package games for Steam, ask Valve.
