Hi I enjoy playing games while talking to my friends on Skype, however I have a problem that game sound is directed through to everyone to hear that I talk with.
I have used alsamixer to set microphone sound to 0 for playback, but this does not seem to affect Wine, even when I set HKCU\Software\Wine\Drivers\Audio to alsa as described in this post.

I have tried a different approach using Pulseaudio, but here I dont seem to have the option to prevent audio going to certain channels the way I can with alsamixer.
This only seems to affect me whenever I use wine, as Skype seems to work flawlessly whenever my game launched via Wine is minimized.
Also this does not seem to be loopback through the microphone, but rather Skype somehow picking up game sound.
Skype loop back game sound
Re: Skype loop back game sound
You can mark this as solved. I found out that i needed to set PCM to zero for capture.
For any other newbies out there :
Use alsamixer to:
* Set PCM to zero for capture
* Set Microphone to zero for playback
Use winetricks to set sound to alsa as described here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/77210/ho ... -alsa-only
