Age of Empires III unable to activate the key

Hi!

I'm having a strange issue with AoEIII (Steam).
I installed it and after the first run the game requires a key activation, the key is 25 characters long and there are 5 box where to type them.
Well I own the key and all but when i try to enter it I can't enter 5 characters on the first box, but JUST 4!!!
the other 4 boxes runs fine but the first doesn't work...
I tried by copying/pasting, tab or shift+tab but it just accept 4 characters.

on the terminal i have this "fixme"
fixme:msctf:LangBarMgr_GetShowFloatingStatus STUB:(0x1b42b8)
fixme:msctf:LangBarMgr_ShowFloating STUB:(0x1b42b8)

I tried "winetricks" it but nothing has changed

However I'm able to lauch the add-ons (war chiefs, asia dynasties) and they work fine as they don't need a key
