Trying to get Cakewalk Sonar Platinum to work

Hi Folks...

I've managed to fix a lot, currently I'm at this stage:

Try upgrading Wine to the latest development release.

I haven't upgraded it yet, however I managed to reduce the errors by changing the Wine Windows version to Windows 8.

These are all errors to do with MF.DLL and MFPlat.DLL, I have tried various versions of these DLL's.
Could upgrading Wine from 1.6.2 sort out this issue?

Upgraded anyway to 1.7.38, the best result I can get (which appears worse?) is:

I tried install to .net framework 4.5.2 64 bit in case this was the issue.

I ran the .NET Framework Setup Cleanup Utility and then did:
winetricks dotnet40

..but it would not install because it stated 32 bit only...

Also (from research) maybe quartz is missing?

Try a 32 bit wineprefix (assuming the app is available in 32 bit).

I'm required to run the 64 bit application otherwise I will run into further issues (VST plugins are 64 bit for instance)
Will .NET framework not run in 64 bit? (BTW not 100% convinced .NET framework is required).
Have you seen these MFC.DLL MFPlat.DLL errors before? I'm thinking of installing 64 bit windows media player (can't see where to do this) or this:

FYI I am running the latest Ubuntu Studio 64 bit.

.NET doesn't work in 64 bit, and everything installed by winetricks is 32 bit. If you want to try 64 bit WMP, you will have to download and install it yourself.

Thanks - well tried to install 64 bit Media player (can't find 64 bit distribution that will work) or Windows Media Feature Pack (wine didn't like MSI's) - so complete no go.

To summarize my woes seems to be with mf.dll and mfplat.dll (Media Foundation Platform.)
Looks very similar to this:

I've tried copying various versions from system32 folder of Windows 7 and Windows 8 machines, no joy,
- at this point I'm guessing I'm screwed...!
