I was able finally to install(Via copying the CDs to my HD).
Did 'wine eject' not work?
However, Now I've got another problem:
After the game starts, with the "splash-screen" showing, My screen turns black for a few seconds, is resized, then returns to the desktop with the following error:
"Age of Empire III Has encountered an error and needs to be closed...."
The appdb might have some suggestions.

Can you try the demo and see if it has the same problems?

Moreover, I didn't find any help in the link you provided.
Thanks again,
