Hi.
When I installed WINE the first time, everything worked long - except Battle.net in Warcraft (it was v0.9.45 and I found out, that it wont work). I installed the newest version (v0.9.55) and really tried everything, but it doesn't work well:
The problem is, that everything needs about 5-10 minutes. When I start winecfg - when I start any program with wine (wine war3.exe) - it always needs about 5-10 minutes.
What's wrong? Are my settings incorrect?
Thanks.
STARTING needs a great deal too LONG

What are your PC specs? mostly RAM and HD performance/space/filesystem also
affect.

Do you have any network printers by any chance? Have you tried renaming ~/.wine directory and starting winecfg?Spielor wrote:Hi.

That can't be the reason because it worked well first (as said). 3GB RAM, 2,66 GHzWhat are your PC specs? mostly RAM and HD performance/space/filesystem also affect.
No.Do you have any network printers by any chance?
For example naming it to ".wine2"? I just tried now. Result:Have you tried renaming ~/.wine directory and starting winecfg?
Code: Select all
felix@felix:~$ winecfg
wine: creating configuration directory '/home/felix/.wine'...
