Hi, I did not mean to come across impatient <-:Last time it took around two weeks. So basically we might always be a version behind if this issue isn't resolved. Just be patient.

I googled for a deb version 0.9.56 and was able to find it in an ubuntu forum a few days ago:

I installed it and it works flawless on my machine (Kubuntu 7.10, 32bit)
There have been rumors about segfaults that some people get with the current .deb packages. That appears to be the reason for the delays.
