How do you enter these characters?
I can usually type an "ö" by pressing Alt-Gr+p.
This doesn't work in wineconsole, where I have to use Ctrl+AltGr+p.

I'm afraid your version of Wine and Ubuntu are too old. The game runs fine with Wine 9.x.

That's strange, I also downloaded the game and there is a UnityPlayer.dll in that file.there is no UnityPlayer.dll file
Try to download the game again. And use 7z to extract it.
