Re: "Unable to Locate Package" when installing Wine.
Is this an ARM Chromebook or an x86 Chromebook? WineHQ does not build packages for ARM.
If it's an x86 Chromebook, did you follow the instructions on https://wiki.winehq.org/Debian? What version of Debian are you using?

I assume you are talking about the AppDB, which does not have an entry for RasAero II. You can submit one yourself when logged into the AppDB; just click "Submit App" in menu and fill out the form.

Re: IP banned
IPs are banned automatically based on the Stop Forum Spam database. If you have dynamic IP, it's possible you got automatically changed to an IP that formerly belonged to a spammer. If that's the case, your ISP should eventually update you to a different IP, one that is hopefully not banned. If you ...

Re: How to close or change the status of a reported bug
Only the bug reporter and those with bugzilla triage or admin privileges can change the status of a bug. If you think a bug has been fixed, leave a comment to that effect in the bug report.

Login where? The forum? Or are you talking about logging into some game or app using Wine?
FYI, I'm using Firefox on Linux right now and have no problems logging in to the forum.

Re: Did Wine 9.0-rc4 arrive in the Debian repository?
An update to Debian Testing broke the build environment on the OBS, so there are no 9.0-rc4 or 9.0-rc5 packages for it. All we can do is wait for it to be fixed. There are packages for Debian 11 and 12.

Re: No Fedora 39 wine-stable ?
There is no stable package for Fedora 39 yet because Fedora 39 was not yet released at the time the last stable Wine package was built. There will be one when Wine 9.0 comes out. I still don't understand the difference on those 2 but I thought staging was "cleaner" than devel. Staging cont...

I don't know why that happened; the only thing I can think of is that it may have something to do with your editing your posts before they were approved. I removed your newly registered status manually so you should be able to post without going through moderation, but I guess we'll only know for su...

You're probably running into https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45208. It's unlikely to ever be fixed, but there are workarounds in the bug report.

Packages have been built, but due to an outage on the OBS, can't be synced over yet. We just have to wait for it to be fixed at that end.desessarts wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 3:20 pm

Re: Cannot install WINE on Debian 12
Why are there Debian instructions on the WineHQ website (Debian WineHQ Repository) yet the other user found success with the Debian wiki instructions. Which should I follow? The different instructions are for different repositories. If you want to install the WineHQ packages, follow the instruction...

Re: Wine is now asking for dependency versions that don't exist
Sounds like you're using bullseye. Bookworm has newer versions of those and other libraries. Are you sure you're downloading wine-staging from the correct repository? The WineHQ packages for bullseye only require libc6 >=2.29 and libwayland >= 1.11.

Re: new user account function not seding email to activate registration for Winedb.
I don't see any AppDB accounts for the email address you used for the forum. Did you use a different email address when registering for the AppDB? Did you check your spam folder for the email? FYI, you don't need to login to search the AppDB, nor is it a list of applications "for Wine to load.&...

Re: What does "UNCONFIRMED" mean?
"Unconfirmed" is the status bugs start in when filed by users without bug triage privileges. If a triager can reproduce the problem, or multiple users report the same problem, the status may be changed to "New." A bug staying in Unconfirmed status does not mean it's not a real bu...
