Re: mailing lists archives not updating

Something got stuck. I've restarted the mailman services and that seems to have kicked it into gear again.

Forum Upgrade 2022-09-13

The WineHQ Forums phpBB software has been upgraded to the most recent version. (3.3)

We had to re-create our theme with this new version, so the layout of the forums is slightly different.

If you notice any issues, please report them to the Website Issues forum.

Re: Wine-devel mailinglist

Not really sure. I was getting wine-devel email. Note, we did just upgrade the WineHQ server yesterday, that brought in a much newer version of mailman, so perhaps the issue is fixed with that update.

Re: Rsync support for Wine Download Server

We prefer that nobody uses FTP site. It only comes from our primary server and is not mirrored on the CDN like the dl.winehq.org HTTPS version is.

I played with the main website and worked with the last-modified and the etag header on the RSS feed. Let me know if that works better for you.

Re: Alternate WINE Logo

Just so you are aware, we could NEVER use a logo with anything that even closely resembles a Microsoft logo. Since your bottle contains a logo similar to Windows, MS would throw a legal hissy fit.

Re: Alternate WINE Logo

Thanks looks nice. We sort of have an un-official new logo. https://media.codeweavers.com/pub/crossover/website/images/pages/wine/the-wine-project-logo-web-2020-01.png At least this is what we've been using around at CodeWeavers. We haven't officially pushed it as a new logo for Wine officially, but...

Re: How to hide email address in Bugzilla?

Yep. Our Bugzilla is like crazy old. Like Disco old. 😜 Will have to upgrade sometime in the near future. Time being relative and all. I'll put it on my list.

One of the download mirrors appears corrupt. I'll report the issue to Fastly our CDN provider.

Re: Destiny 2 (F2P)

Destiny 2 uses its own custom anti-cheat. So chances are that it will never work in Wine. They (Bungie) even have been banning users for trying to run under Wine. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/251123023?sort=0&page=0 You an also join the petition to get Bungie to make it work in Linux. h...

Re: This server is running on an really old debian-OS server

We did finally get around to upgrading to Debian 10. I agree it was super old, but it was stable, and Debian 8 was still in LTS so it was getting security updates. Part of the delay of upgrading was going through all the websites that WineHQ hosts and making sure they work on the latest versions of ...

Forum Upgrade on 2019-09-09

I will be upgrading our forums starting around 09:00 CDT on September 9th 2019. During this time the forums will be disabled. The upgrade will take at least an hour, probably more, so I can properly backup the database and files. This upgrade will take us to the latest version of phpBB 3.2.7. Since ...

Re: WineHQ Website revamp - some issues with the new style A

I am annoyed with how that page is laid out, forcing users to scroll past the howto's and notes to get to the comments is very annoying. But, I can also see how forcing you to scroll in a little box on a smaller screen is annoying as well. The correct fix would be to display the howtos as links and ...

Re: Bugzilla password reset broken?

We do not really have anyone that pushes patches into bugzilla. If you have an issue with bugzilla, you should contact the devs of bugzilla itself.

http://www.bugzilla.org/support/

If you like, you can PM me, and I can try resetting your password via the admin.
