Re: Linux Help - SparkyLinux

@ george89 The current Wine release is actually version 6.10 . See: WineHQ Wiki: Debian . Wine Stable 6.0.1 is intended for running Windows application(s), that already works well with Wine, and is therefore for users who wish to minimise the risk of (future) regressions. Do you have a game controll...

Re: 'File not found' error, on Fedora 33, build from source.

@ ofey404 A classic mistake... :D Building a pure 64-bit Wine environment won't run the majority of MS Windows executables - which are 32-bit (including all Windows installers). Also I think some of the missing build dependencies might cause you some issues e.g. libxrandr libxinerama libxcomposite ....

Folks have gotten the 21.0 version of Adobe Photoshop to work (but not fully) under Wine.

So you'll need to use Valve's Proton compatibility layer.

Thank you Bob! I'll try MX Linux but not even LMDE didn't work as well. Many thanks for help Hmm. LMDE (32-bit) should support your hardware. However a P4 (GPU??) probably will not support the Cinnamon Desktop Environment. In which case MX Linux + Xfce (or even Fluxbox ) may be a better bet! 8) Bob

There are a few WineHQ Bugzilla HI-DPI bugs open at present.

You can try trying the DPI scaling in the winecfg utility.
However this will only scale text and not the graphical elements of a Windows application.
