Age of Empires II - Multiplayer

Can see other games...but unable to join or create multiplayer game.

Get the following error when trying to join game:
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x12f938 "?" wait timed out in thread 002b, blocked by 0009, retrying (60 sec)


Get the following when trying to create a multiplayer game:
fixme:win:User32InitializeImmEntryTable (0x19650412): stub
wine: could not load L"C:\\windows\\system32\\dplaysvr.exe": Module not found

Any help fixing this would be GREATLY appreiated. Running Wine 0.9.59 on Ubuntu 8.04...
