Hi, I reinstalled wine and noticed that after a few runs it takes approximately 5 minutes for anything related to wine (wine config, wine programs) to launch.

I am running core 2 duo 2.2, 4gb ram, #! linux

See if there is anything interesting in when you run wincfg from the terminal.

hi,

terminal isn't giving me any messages. my hdd reads for a bit then stops. for 5 minutes nothing happens then the program loads.

Can you post the exact command you typed in the terminal. I am
surprised that it did not print any fixmes or anything.

One possible source of this kind of behavior is the printer
code; see http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10358

Do you have network printers?

no but i do have cups installed, would that be a problem?

I meant UNINSTALLING. doesn't seem to be an edit feature here? :?
