I am new to the forum, so sorry if this was asked already.

So far I have been installing the latest wine on Squeeze. Works great except for the sound. Until now I haven't needed sound. How do I get Wine to compile with pulseaudio or alsa?

PulseAudio support at present is via alsa-plugins, and for it you need PulseAudio 1.1 or later and alsa-plugins 1.0.25 or later. The winepulse driver that some distros package is not a part of plain Wine.

This was what was missing.

It says OSS won't be supported but it no longer gives me the error that it can't find a sound system.
