Hi All,
I'm new to Linux (Ubuntu) but i'm determent to stay at linux. I've had a few small problems but my biggest problem is I can't run Sibelius.
It gives me an error while installing. So I ran install again but with a logfile.

Install and run Sibelius 7
After some fiddeling I found out that I had to install dot20 and vbc2008 with winetricks.
After that it installed without any errors. I'm now trying to run it. It stops at the splashscreen.

The problem is probably this:
Unimplemented function KERNEL32.dll.InitializeConditionVariable
There's probably not much you can do, apart from filing a bug. There is no winetricks to override that dll with a windows dll, it wouldn't work anyway due to wines different architecture.
You could look at

some older versions seem to run quite well.

I just managed to get Sibelius 7 to install and run under wine1.7. After having the same issues as above I deleted wine and Sibelius and did a fresh install of the wine beta via the terminal. Added these in winetricks:
dotnet20
gdiplus
gecko120
vcrun2008
Then installed first disc, ran and activated. Disabled opening music as suggested somewhere on the internet as it causes program to freeze on splash screen. Am currently downloading the update to 7.1.3 and installing sounds discs, hopefully will still run after that.
