Wine freezes when I try to run xara designer pro X9

Hello
I am using wine 1.6.1 and linux mageia kde 4.11 on a dual booted system. I have installed xara dcesigner pro X9 but it freezes (and so does wine), when I try to open it. I am pretty much a linux novice.
Any advice would be appreciated as I am trying to get away from using windows as much as possible!

When you run it through wine from a terminal, what sort of messages do you get?

Thanks for the link. I have managed to start the program in a terminal. First attempt crashed and I saved the log to a plain text file which I can't upload here. I tried again using wine --.exe &> log.txt and ignored the registration process and the program started without crashing but there was no log text (or I can't find it). I tried again going through the registration process and it crashed generating different errors which I saved to plain text. Could you advise me how I can submit these logs?

Save the file without the .txt extension and you should be able to attach it to a post.

Then you should be able to attach it to a post. You have to select the "Full Editor" to do that.

Hello,
I've got the same problem. (Linux Mint 17; Mate, 32-bit; Win 1.62)
Xara 9 installs and seems to start fairly well, then opening the first file it freezes.

Here are start and end of the log-file. (The file as a whoel is attaches.)
Any idea what could bi done?
