annot launch Steam games because of "no suitable graphics ca

Post by holiday_hawk »

Hi, I'm trying to launch games on Steam, but I get a message telling me that there's no suitable graphics card XNA framework. I'm able to play games on the native Linux Steam, but I can't play Windows games through Steam run through WINE. I've attached an image of the full message. Also, the problem is not only DLC Quest, but other games as well[img][img][img][img][img][img][img][img][/img][/img][/img][/img]. Thanks for all the help!

Wine version? If it's not the latest development release, upgrade. If the problem persists, post terminal output. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log

What graphics card and driver do you have?

I was able to finally solve this on my own. I believe the problem was I needed the drivers for my graphics card (a GeForce GTS 450), but was unaware on how to get those on Linux Mint. Regardless of if that was the real problem or not, my games do launch now.
