It seems that the game uses the setting supplied by Display instead of NVIDIA Settings. I have a laptop with a flat screen television hooked up via HDMI and am using it as a second monitor. My laptop resolution is 1440x900 while the tv is 1920x1080 which Display adds together to form 3360x1980 and that is the only resolution it shows. Because of that 3360x1980 is the ONLY resolution that Portal shows when launched. I want to run the game in windowed mode in around the 1440x900 mark. Is there any config file I can edit to give me this custom resolution? Or, is there a way to make NVIDIA settings the only display handler?

Also, please note: I do not and will not have steam installed on my system. I am using the sid and sim off the disc with a steam emulator to install and run the game. I know about steams LOAD OPTIONS but where is it saving that information? And why can't I add it manually?

Any help would be appreciated.
