Program quits while in use

I just recently tried running a program called EA DB Editor (for editing files used in Electronic Arts video games) through Wine, with a reasonable amount of expectation that it would work. I had recently begun using Wine to run several PC programs on my Mac with each program opening and operating as it would on a PC. With the EA DB Editor, I can open the program, but when I click on anything (except the option to load a file or save it) the program closes. I have no idea what is going on and do not know an adequate amount of information on Wine to competently use the Further Information guide, so I'm hoping you guys can help me in spite of my ignorance of such things.
