Re: Getting game with native opengl32.dll to work...
So this works...except now obviously it calls wglCreateContext and hangs immediately...I'm starting to think the only way to get this working is via decompiling and remapping the opengl calls, but if I'm totally off track and anyone else has any better ideas I'd love to hear them! I think you are o...

Re: winecfg not saving drive-configuration
Wine does not (and cannot) stop a Windows app directly making native syscalls, messing with your files, altering your startup scripts, or doing other nasty things. ...a windows-program doing linux-syscalls and changing linux-startup-scripts.... :| This just doesn't exist. For this to happen you nee...

winecfg not saving drive-configuration
Hi there, I'm looking for a way to remove all drives (except drive c) in wine. When I start winecfg and remove them by hand all active linux-partitions re-appear next time wine is started. This is incredible annoying! I found out in this post that it was a new "feature", introduced in wine...

Thank you.

Re: Project Reality 1.5(Battlefield 2 mod) help much appreci
Thanks for the info (glad I'm making some progress :) ). After a lot of testing and checking I came to a conclusion that the issue is with how sound is handled in PR and by the Launcher - You can break this game very easily in that area. How can I force app to be handled differently for sound? (forc...

Project Reality 1.5(Battlefield 2 mod) help much appreciated
Hi, I'm trying to run Project Reality on Wine 4.5 (also tested in Lutris on proton 4.2 separate install - no Lutris as of now) . Currently it's: - set on a 32bit prefix (tried 64bit as well) - got vcrun2015 and dotnet40 installed (tried both by setup files and winetricks) - installed DXVK 1.0.3 (tri...

Re: dotnet40 app crash "Process exited with a Mono runtime"
I must have misused "winetricks isolate_home" - as now when I tried again It works!
turned out that the shared data was in "My Documents" folder.
Ok the main issue is solved. Thanks!

Re: dotnet40 app crash "Process exited with a Mono runtime"
I followed on Your instructions - made the export. But still - even beeing all the time in the same terminal. When I create a new prefix the app remembers what was in the previous one... Maybe lutris is making this issue ... but for now, any tips on how to remove wine completely ? maybe there is som...

dotnet40 app crash "Process exited with a Mono runtime"
Hi, I've set-up a 32bit wine prefix with: WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine wine winecfg with "Windows 7" selected. In there I need to run an application that requires dotNetFx40_Client_x86_x64. To make that possible I've uninstalled Mono 4.8 from wine with WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.win...

Is it possible to (compile &) use wine without admin priviledges? install-wine-deps.sh needs sudo and it seems like any other method (e.d. listed here http://wiki.winehq.org/WineOn64bit#head-7f065bff5f4df98c416484bb7609e2dda597056a) does as well. I just want to use wine in my home folder - is th...

How to DLL-Override?
Hello, I managed to successfully install Internet Explorer 8 in a WindowsXP 32bit environment. It works fine so far, except for FTP sites. Re: Open help files with external viewer
Winebrowser seems to be a firefox inside wine. I'm afraid with opening a chm-file in there, the association is only valid for firefox then.
How about replacing hh.exe with a symlink somehow? Would it work? I mean, it's an .exe-file.

Open help files with external viewer
Hi guys, When a wine-program opens a helpfile, wine automatically launches an internal viewer. However, not all chm-files are correctly displayed this way. I installed xCHM in ubuntu and enjoy correctly displayed help-files now. Unfortunately wine is always using its own viewer. Is there a way to te...
